27th Boy Scouts of the Philippines JamboretteI spent a week with my Scouting students at their annual camp out.
By far the biggest highlight was catching my first intestinal parasite, Amoebiasis.
It is extremely comforting realizing that you accidentially, for all intents and purposes, ingested poop. I drank that water that was trucked in and it most likely contained some sort of fecal matter.

BSP practices "Leave A Trace" camping philosophy.
Aside from stripping the campsite of all vegetation upon arrival, tossing all trash and food scraps into an open pit behind camp, showing ZERO respect for the sleeping needs of fellow campers, they strictly adhear to principal 2 of the Leave A Trace framework... torture helpless wildlife.

Water detail at the Scout Camp. Playan city sits high above the water table deeming it necessary to transport water from surrounding municipalities. I spoke with the chief for a few minutes and he said, "the only place you see fire trucks like this in America are in museums."
